Do you photograph C-sections?

That depends on where you will be delivering and the if the c-section is emergent or not. As of now, I am allowed to photograph and film at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

What exactly is a fresh 48?

This takes place at the hospital, birth center, or your home (if home birth) within 48 hours after baby is born. This is all about capturing those raw, first moments such as wrinkled toes, baby yawns, nostalgic baby hospital attire, siblings meeting, etc. Unlike a newborn session, this is real life in your first few hours as a new or growing family. It’s the in- between moments that often get overlooked in the whirlwind of birth and recovery. A fresh- 48 simply captures that emotion.

What is a lifestyle session?

A relaxed, natural session in the comfort of your own home. Typically we do these with newborns within their first few weeks. No posing, props, or bright lights. Think snuggles on the couch or your bed and soft window light. This type of session focuses more on natural connection and real life moments. No nursery? No problem! I have photographed several lifestyle sessions where we stayed in the main living area for the photos.

What if I go into labor at 3am?

Don’t worry! I anticipate you going into labor at any given time and I am ready! I begin my on call period at 38 weeks, 24/7. My phone stays nearby and switched to ring loud at night, just in case. Whether it’s 3pm or 3am, when active labor begins, I’ll head your way! Your story matters to me and I can’t wait to be there to capture it!

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! I want this experience to be as stress- free as possible for you! I offer a few options to fit your needs!

• half down at booking, and the remaining balance due by 38 weeks or planned session date

• Paypal Credit (subject to approval)

• Affirm, if you prefer to split payments over time.

Do you travel?

Yes! As of now, I include hospitals in Beaumont and Port Arthur. But I can also travel to Houston, Galveston, Lake Charles, The Woodlands etc for a fee. Fresh 48 and lifestyle sessions are easy to travel for. Traveling for birth can be discussed based on the situation.

What can I expect if I book a birth session?

We’ll stay in touch as labor begins, and I’ll arrive once active labor is established.

Discreet, respectful presence — I quietly document your story as it unfolds. I usually capture moments when I first arrive and then step into the hall or waiting area. I know this time is sacred and intimate and I never want to feel like I am hovering. If labor is fast, there may not be time for me to step out, but I will remain quiet and respectful of this moment. Once pushing begins, I stand at the head of bed and shoot from that angle. I am mindful of your comfort and privacy during birth and do not get any graphic photos unless requested. If not requested, I promise I can’t see anything! From the angle I stand at, your belly covers the view!

Unlimited coverage — I stay from active labor through 1 hour after birth, to capture first snuggles, skin-to-skin, nursing, and meeting siblings or grandparents.

Every birth is different, and I approach each one with care, flexibility, and deep respect for your birth team and preferences. I have experience in c- sections, vaginal delivery, home birth, birth center birth, adoption birth and surrogate birth!
